AMBASSADOR PAID A COURTESY TO FORMER SECRETARY BAKER

Ambassador Batbayar paid a courtesy call on former Secretary Baker in Houston, Texas. He highlighted and expressed sincere appreciation for Secretary’s contributions to the Mongolia-US relationship.

Secretary Baker’s consecutive visits to Mongolia in 1990 and 1991 were important in supporting Mongolians who unwaveringly chose the democratic path of development. Since his visit, a “third neighbor policy” concept was actively pursued within the foreign policy of Mongolia.

Ambassador Batbayar updated the Secretary on the latest developments in bilateral relations, including the Strategic Partnership between Mongolia and the U.S., and highlighted the 35th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2022.

Secretary Baker shared his fond memories of having a fruitful discussion with then Foreign minister Gombosuren as well as fishing in Mongolia. Ambassador Batbayar wished Secretary Baker and his relatives well-being, happiness, and success.
