“MONGOLIAN CULTURAL DAY- TSAGAAN SAR 2025” HELD IN WASHINGTON D.C.

The “Mongolian Cultural Day – Tsagaan Sar 2025” was successfully celebrated on February 22, 2025, in Washington, D.C., with active participation from the Mongolian community.

Ambassador Batbayar Ulziidelger opened the event by extending warm greetings to foreign guests and the Mongolian community. He highlighted the cultural and symbolic significance of Tsagaan Sar and expressed gratitude to the organizers for their efforts in preserving Mongolia’s cultural heritage and passing it on to younger generations. Mongolian Cultural Envoy N. Gankhuyag and M. Delgertsogt, Head of the Mongolian community in Washington, D.C., also delivered welcoming remarks.

The event featured a variety of traditional activities, including a wrestling competition with 16 participants and an ankle-bone shooting contest between five teams. For children, the “Andgai Club” hosted a traditional Mongolian ankle-bone horse racing event, adding to the day’s festive atmosphere.
