The Real Chinggis Khaan Exhibition

“The Real Genghis Khan” exhibition was officially opened on January 28, 2026, at The Mulva Cultural Center in De Pere, Wisconsin, USA.
Open dates: January 31 – May 3, 2026
Taking a unique look into the life and trajectory of Genghis Khan and his empire, “The Real Genghis Khan” sheds light on new perspectives on his contributions to modern Western society. With the largest collection of Genghis Khan era artifacts ever to tour the world, dating back to the 12th century, the exhibit immerses visitors into the nomadic life of the Mongols.
This extraordinary exhibition includes:
- The largest collection of Genghis Khan era artifacts ever to tour the world
- Interactive identity cards and touch screen interface allow visitors to follow the life of a person living under Mongol rule
- Hands-on activities with traditional Mongolian costumes
- Catapult firing & bow and arrow demonstrations
- Mongolian children’s games
- Glimpse inside of a traditional Mongolian ger
- Live Mongolian musical performances and a chance to speak with artists (for more information, please see below)
- Immersive experience of walking through Kublai Khan’s Xanadu Palace
Live Mongolian Artist Performances
Enhance your visit to The Real Genghis Khan exhibition with live Mongolian artist performances. Each performance lasts approximately 15 minutes and offers an immersive introduction to Mongolia’s rich musical and cultural traditions.
The rotating program may include a Mongolian Tsam mask dance, traditional Mongolian music performed on authentic instruments such as the Morin Khuur, Ever buree, Yatga, and Khuuchir, as well as Mongolian throat singing.
Following each performance, artists will remain on stage for an additional 15 minutes to speak with visitors, answer questions, and share insights about their costumes, instruments, and cultural traditions.
