The Embassy of Mongolia is pleased to announce an upcoming concert by one of Mongolian fabulous ethnic bands, “Khusugtun” that plans to organize tour concerts in New York, Washington DC, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles between March 9-26, 2017.

“Khusugtun” is an internationally recognized ethnic band that performs traditional music from Mongolia, the home of Chinggis Khaan. They are especially renowned for their capella arrangements using “khöömii” or “throat-singing,” an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Consisting of six members, the band also performs horsehead fiddle, zither, flute, lute, open-ended flute and various jaw harps.
