North America-Mongolia Business Council 24th Annual General Meeting

H.E. Altangerel Bulgaa, Ambassador of Mongolia to the U.S. attended as keynote speaker the 24th Annual General Meeting of the North America-Mongolia Business Council held on 22-23 April, 2014, in Ottawa. The Ambassador gave overview of economic situation of Mongolia and the Government’s economic policy and measures to boost economy and attract foreign investment.

Other speakers included O.Erdenebulgan, Vice Minister for Mining, current or former Canadian and American ambassadors, and other senior government officials from Canada and the US. Panelists include senior executives of Rio Tinto, Centerra Gold, SNC-Lavalin  and other companies.

The NAMBC is the largest trade association linking Mongolia to North America. Its mission is to advocate, advance and expand North-America bilateral trade and investment. The NAMBC organizes two major events every year: Annual General Meeting in April alternates between Ottawa and Washington, DC; Annual Investors Conference in Ulaanbaatar in September or October.
